The Annual 101 and Advanced Insurance Law Courses are the Section’s cornerstone event, to take place June 3, 4 & 5, 2026, once again at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, Texas. The Casino Night continues to be an attendee favorite, with great networking, food, drinks, and prizes.
The new on-demand CLE program A Primer on Fundamental Insurance Issues waspresented to coordinate with the insurance specialization exam and to coincide with fall start dates for many new associates. The section will continue to make these CLE presentations available for new and seasoned practitioners to get broad overviews of Texas insurance law.
We continue to offer live CLE webinars addressing trending issues and developments on a quarterly basis. Topics have included Texas Supreme Court updates, COVID-19 coverage, hurricane claims, the construction anti-indemnity act, appraisal law, arbitrating coverage cases, and practical Stowers, among others. Thanks to our sponsors, we are now able to offer these webinars free to current Section members.
Scholarships continue for Texas law school students.
Happy hours for mentoring young lawyers and networking will continue with more in-person events this year, with events currently contemplated for Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin.
