Jack’s practice centers on litigation and arbitration in the energy and chemical sector. He focuses principally on complex contract disputes and business torts as well as insurance and indemnity issues. He also has an active appellate practice and is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law. Notable cases include Evanston Ins. v. Atofina Petrochemicals, the Texas Supreme Court’s seminal decision on additional insured provisions and the rights of policyholders who settle claims, which was referenced in the Texas Bar Journal as “potentially the most significant decision of the year,” and Getty v. INA, the Texas Supreme Court’s first decision dealing with additional insured provisions and the Texas Oil Field Anti-Indemnity statute.
